The site brings together information and resources from civil society organizations, governments, research institutions, media and other stakeholders working in the field.
The biggest barrier to sustainable development facing many countries is the ever-growing external debt burden. Every social sector in indebted countries has been crippled leaving large portions of their populations deeper in crushing poverty, malnourished, dying from preventable diseases and ill-equipped to handle the deadly AIDS crisis. OneWorld has therefore launched DebtChannel.org as a one-way-in to the issue with insightful features, analyses, opinions, campaign news, actions, events and headlines from the leading partners involved in the issue.
LearningChannel.org is a global portal on quality education, where content pertaining to education, from organizations both in the North and the South, is accessible to all. There are also action and updates on education campaigns worldwide, opinions and features from leading commentators and educationalists and online debates and discussions on education - all in the endeavour to put education on the priority lists of governments and developmental organizations worldwide.
Digital Opportunity Channel is all about how information and communication technologies (ICT) can be best used to end poverty and encourage sustainable development. Hence the world's first global media supersite, co-produced by Globalvision and OneWorld. 'As the media watch the world, we watch the media...'
